ICRA Mission Statement
The Idaho Court Reporters Association’s mission is to uphold and serve the legal profession and the people of the State of Idaho through stenographically reporting the spoken word. The Idaho Court Reporters Association shall also represent the legal community professionally, ethically, and with the highest moral standards while maintaining confidentiality of the proceedings. The Idaho Court Reporters Association members shall also encourage and promote the court reporting profession through mentoring court reporting students regarding realtime reporting, Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART), and broadcast captioning.
ICRA Officers 2017-2018
Andrea has been a court reporter in Idaho for 15 years. She began her career as a freelance reporter in 2002 in Twin Falls. In 2005, Andrea made the transition from judicial reporting to closed captioning and worked for VITAC from 2006 through 2011, captioning a wide variety of nationally-televised programming, including captioning the 2006 and 2008 Olympic games. In 2011, she returned to judicial reporting and is currently a full-time freelance reporter as well as the owner of Associated Reporting & Video in Boise. Andrea also enjoys working with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in Idaho and covers CART and captioning assignments on a regular basis.She currently lives in Boise with her husband Tyler and furry friend Tallie. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking kickboxing classes in her “spare” time.
Vanessa earned a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Court Reporting at Metropolitan College of Court Reporting in 2003. She received her Idaho CSR license in 2004 and RPR in 2004. Has one daughter Olivia. Worked as a freelancer for Tucker & Associates for one year before becoming an official for Ada County in 2004. Loves everything available to Idahoans in the outdoors: concerts, hiking, camping, rafting, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are a few of her favorites.
